Plus, I ADORE the tie in to Troy & Stevie from the Sheppard family series! Crossovers make me so bizarrely happy! So pull out the Christmas tree, cue the music, and brew a cup of FRESH cocoa (this is imperative!), and enjoy a bit of Hallmark-y Christmas magic! 。。。more

Wes and Maggie are adorable and instantly had me rooting for both of them。 I loved the setting…the beautiful resort in the mountains…。and the hilarious Santa cabin smack dab in the middle of it! Great chemistry, funny situations, natural dialogue。 Loved the ending…。it’s a good one!

I am soooo in the mood for Christmas romances so I was delighted to read this book。 So much fun。 Very Hallmark-esque sweetness to the story。 Some laugh out loud moments and seriously, I would love to see this in a movie just to see that cabin if for no other reason。 It would be a fun movie。 I loved Wes even if he was a punk kid bullying people。 He grew up good。 And I enjoyed Maggie too。 She had some issues from the bullying that she had to get over。 She'd tried throughout her adult life to do so I am soooo in the mood for Christmas romances so I was delighted to read this book。 So much fun。 Very Hallmark-esque sweetness to the story。 Some laugh out loud moments and seriously, I would love to see this in a movie just to see that cabin if for no other reason。 It would be a fun movie。 I loved Wes even if he was a punk kid bullying people。 He grew up good。 And I enjoyed Maggie too。 She had some issues from the bullying that she had to get over。 She'd tried throughout her adult life to do so but coming face to face to with some of your tormentors has to stir up old feelings。 I'm glad that Wes was patient enough to help her through that。 They have a fun and teasing relationship which I loved。 Overall, I just straight up enjoyed this story。 It was delightful。No sex, language or violence 。。。more

I absolutely loved this book!! I loved everything about it! It’s like the best kind of holiday rom com that I want to rewatch all season long。 It’s definitely going to be a yearly read for me from now on。I really love Martha’s writing style。 It’s clever and drew me in from the very beginning。 Once I started reading, I didn’t want to stop and it had me laughing the whole time。 The characters were so endearing from the very beginning。 I want Maggie to be my best friend。 She’s sweet and thoughtful。 I absolutely loved this book!! I liked Wesley’s kindness and sincerity。 Even with people he didn’t want to interact with he was never rude or dismissive。 I liked that they were both willing to move on from their past and that they addressed it maturely。 It still colored some interactions of course but that made it feel more authentic to me。 I loved it all! It’s the perfect clean read for the Christmas season! Read it immediately。 You won’t regret it! 。。。more

This books was so funny! Margot had an awful Christmas last year thanks to her Ex, and booked a Christmas stay alone at the most Christmas-y cabin she could find。 No, really, it's like all Christmases past have thrown their decorations in, on, and around this one cabin, including way too many elves that just may be watching you。 What are the odds that the handyman for the cabins is someone Margot knew years ago, in the days when kids at school called her maggot? I shake my head。 "I'd have come after you, Maggie。 Just like if you left right now, I'd come after you and try to convince you to stay。" He holds my gaze。 "If you want me to, I'll fight for you, Maggie。 I'll even wear a waistcoat and breeches if it'll help my chances。"*I received a complimentary copy from the author。 All opinions are my own。 No positive review was required。 。。。more

Oh my goodness, I absolutely adored this book! If you've read Just Friends Forever, you'll recognize Maggie, Stevie and Troy from that story。 That said, this can definitely be enjoyed even if you have not read that one! The cabin Maggie was staying in was almost like another character in and of itself。 I am 100% Christmas obsessed, but the picture Martha Keyes painted of this place in my mind--- even I could say this place was over the top。 The creepy elves and Santa。。。 all the inflatables。。。 the scene was set so very well and had me laughing out loud so many times throughout the story! I couldn't stop laughing。 There was just so much holiday charm in this story, and I absolutely loved every single second of it。 Solo for the Season is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language。 **I received an ARC for consideration。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

When I saw Martha was doing another Christmas romcom AND that it was featuring Maggie from Just Friends Forever, I was beyond excited to read this book。 It was really cute。 Maggie was the girl who all throughout school was teased and looked down upon。 As an adult, she's come to like herself and be happy with who she is, but that doesn't mean the past doesn't still hurt。 When she takes a solo trip for her Christmas break, she did not plan on her childhood crush Wes being the assistant manager, no When I saw Martha was doing another Christmas romcom AND that it was featuring Maggie from Just Friends Forever, I was beyond excited to read this book。 It was really cute。 Maggie was the girl who all throughout school was teased and looked down upon。 As an adult, she's come to like herself and be happy with who she is, but that doesn't mean the past doesn't still hurt。 When she takes a solo trip for her Christmas break, she did not plan on her childhood crush Wes being the assistant manager, nor did she plan to discover her crush never really went away。I loved the dual POV。 It was sweet watching Wes fall for Maggie。 I loved the way the resort brought them close together and all the funny kitschy Christmas décor。 I would definitely be afraid to sleep with all of those elves watching me。 The scene at the pond was adorable and I loved their food taste test too。 This was humorous and sweet, the perfect size for a holiday read。 I received an advance reader copy of this novel。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more

My cheeks hurt from smiling and I just could not put this one down! So many LOL moments and such a good romance! Love this length for the holidays, longer than a novella, so more depth and details, but short enough I’m planning on reading the whole series this year! I LOVED IT! After reading Just Friends Forever I was hoping Maggie would get her own story! And it was fun to visit Stevie and Troy again too! I would definitely recommend this one!

I mean, come on。 What more need I say? Well, I’ve got more great things to say for sure。I adored Maggie。 I could totally relate to the introverted desire to just hole up in a Christmas loaded cabin by yourself with some books and Christmas movies。 That’s honestly a whole mood and I’m here for it。 I was kind of jealous of that。 Wes was a really sweet guy, but he definitely made some major mistakes in his past when it came to Maggie。 I do feel like he should get a bit of a pass as he was just a young, stupid teenager like we all are at one point in life, but he really did need to show Maggie some change and growth before their relationship could really progress。 I feel like he did that。 There were many parts that were super entertaining。 Hot chocolate and racoons are two things that come to mind right away as scenes that were fun to read。I was excited that this book, while a standalone, had connections with one of the author’s series。 This particular book shares connections with Just Friends Forever as Maggie is mentioned in that story and becomes good friends with Stevie, who is the female main character of Just Friends Forever。 It’s definitely done in a way that would not make anyone feel lost if they hadn’t read the other story as this book, as mentioned, is standalone。 But for those who have read Just Friends Forever, it was like a mini reunion of other characters we’ve met before。 I definitely encourage this book for the holiday season, or any time really。 。。。more
